Hello, I am a 67 year old retired home health aide. I recently retired because I became alittle sick and now i'm getting assistance from HUD to pay my rent and gas. I was hoping to have saved up some money for my retirement and also pay off all of my bills but unfortunately things didn't work out that way because of other financial problems that kept occuring.
I really don't know what to do now or where to go for help. I found this site and it seems to be very helpful and would like to know is there any place I can go to get assistance in paying my bills. My bills are under 8,000 but with the one check that I get a month (SS) I can only afford to pay rent, gas, medicine and food. What should I do?
